Review: Inmates are extremely disturbing and equally disturbing. Canadian director Denis Villeneuve, whose last film was the equally fascinating and disturbing rings, tension builds from the first frame and does not allow for a total of 153 minutes of film. Aaron Guzikowskis scenario, although in the face of a child abduction thriller dollars of all stripes and Hollywood, as well as being a tense thriller, creates a serious moral problem. It also helps that the film is first rate cast does an outstanding job: Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal, Paul Dana, Terrence Howard, Melissa Leo, Viola Davis and Maria Bello. Inmates not for the faint of heat, but you probably have a lot in the coming years Oscars. |
